Mock Trial is an extracurricular activity and a 3 credit course in the GVPT department which develops trial skills, an understanding of the judicial system, and communication skills. Competitions trials are between prosecution/plaintiff and defense teams. Teams have 6-8 members, six will actually compete in any given trial (three as attorneys, three as witnesses). Teams try a single case in competitions throughout the entire year. The cases alternate between a criminal or civil legal issue each year.
Mock Trial is open to all undergraduate students. Students interested in the law, public speaking, as well as theater are welcome to try out. Although encouraged, no experience is necessary.
How do I join?
